Peugeot 404 Coupe

The Peugeot 404 coupe (or 2 door hard top) was first presented at the Paris car show in October 1962 and built from 1962 to 1968. Like the cabriolet, it was initially proposed only with an injection motor ; when the dust settled the coupe production run numbered 5196 for the injection model and 1638 for the carburetor model. Some of the details that set the coupe apart include the central folding armrest in the back (ash tray included !) and the rear indented window. Like the cabriolet, the coupe does not shares any metal bodywork with the sedan model. At least two colors, dark blue (1057) and graphite gray (1055), were available for the coupe but not the cabriolet.
