Here is a revisit of a Peugeot 404 Instruction book (UK edition!) which
came with each 404. I've started this section from queries of other 404
owners and it will fill out over time. Note the right-hand drive and 'strange'
(non-metric) measurement units.

Sleeping Berth Arrangement

"Both front seats are readily converted into sleeping berths.

- depress stop ring (2)
- push seat adjusting lever (1) aft and move seat to its fill forward

- pull lever (3) and tilt seat back until it reaches a horizontal
