Found this on ebay in June 2001
The seller stated : "This is a 1968 Peugeot 404 station wagon, 95%
complete and running when parked. It has serious rust in all the bad places,
but the engine ran last year and compression was good; all electrical
components were functioning, but some have been sold (stay tuned for what)
and others removed but go with; the car was last driven in 1997, at which
time the transmission worked fine, but the clutch rubbers have since rotted,
as have the brake rubbers, so, no brakes & stuck in neutral; very
good red vinyl interior, and of course, the 8-foot aluminum roof rack.
Missing: all lenses, turn signal, horn assembly, instrument cluster, headlight
switch, interior mirror, one door handle, and, well, the title, but the
local sheriff will provide paperwork. Located on an island in Puget Sound,
with delivery possible between Blaine & Everett, WA."
It was initially going for about 10$ (yes!) the owner reserved 100$
at least for the roof rack...
