Peugeot 404 - Sticky Brake Pedal

One brake pedal assembly looks like the image below (unassisted brakes, C3 gear box) :

My own problem was with the accelerator pedal ; sticking was due to pedal not rotating properly around the axle (4506.01). I'd look here first, as it is the most obvious and least expensive. Simple solution was to loosen the axle a little to let it rotate. This made the sticking disappeared. I then dismounted the axle to clean and oil it.
